One of tourism assets in Mamberamo Raya Regency is LAKE BIRA. We have been to Burmeso Mamberamo Raya area for business survey there. Indeed, Lake Bira is very suitable as a tourist attractions, because this place has natureal beauty. Decorated by several wild Natural ponds, and rich natural resources. One of well known fish that we saw was Tilapia fish and other types of lake fishes that need to be research. Moreover, Bira lake is also known as “Rombebay lake”. It’s a swamp of the Mamberamo River before it meets the Pacific ocean. You can reach Lake Bira via Yapen island or From Sarmi heading north west or chartered flight direc to Kasonaweja from Jayapura.

Day 1 Jayapura-Serui by Regular Trigana Flight
Day 2 Serui-Dawai village
Day 3 Dawai by Speed boat to Kurudu Island
Day 4 Kurudu village-Teba village
Day 5 Teba-Rombebay or known as “Bira Lake” and return to Teba. It can be 1 or 2 days to research along the Bira lake
Day 7 Bira-Kasonaweja
Day 8 Kasonaweja-Jayapura-ends
