Description
Sign up for this challenging rain forest excursion and treks into the Momun tribe, one of the special interest clients’ destinations to complete camping in the remote rain forest. Witness the beautiful & pristine rain forest and flora as you trek through the tropical area with low rainfall levels, and have fun while you take on this challenge with your fellow trek lovers!
Itinerary
- Day 1- Arrive at Jayapura -Connect to Dekai [Yahukimo]
- Meet and greet your tour guide at the Jayapura International airport.
- Connecting flight to Dekai-Yahukimo
- Our service starts in Dekai (Yahukimo airport & Ends hotel-in last day in Day 3)
- Transfer to the hotel in Dekai City, Yahukimo
- Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
- Day 2 – Yahukimo-Momuna tribe Rain forest-camping
- Take 4WD-car
- Drive-Heading 1 hour into the Momuna tribe
- Meet locals, greetings, and settle the tent
- Final preparation for the night hunting [fishing)
- night hunting from 07:00 PM-09:00 PM
- Day 3- Real hunting, food making [Sago Cultivation-Back to Dekai
- Wake up
- Breakfast
- Heading to the forest
- Sago cultivation with locals & some of the group go for hunting with hunting dogs
- Back to the camp-lunch
- Final preparation [packing)
- Walked out from the forest to the road bank
- Car picked up-Heading to the hotel.
- Ends service!!
- Day 4- Departure from Dekai (Yahukimo)
- Get on a flight to Yahukimo, followed by Bali, Sorong or Wamena.
